Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a near fine dust jacket which is nicely ptreserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~RR~ [5.0P] This volume provides an overview of domestic architecture throughout the Baroque period (from 1685 to 1715) complete with numerous photographic illustrations and vignettes. The 'English Country Houses' series contained titles by an array of notable writers and historians of British domestic architecture. This volume includes some of the grandest and most spectacular houses as well as smaller, lesser known ones. Illustrated throughout and including a number of houses which no longer exist.
