I do not see how anyone can read this book without being enlightened and inspired. For what is most impressive about the author is the extent of his knowledge. Each chapter is a summary of shelves of material. By blending the general with the particular, the abstract with the visual, the economic with the human, he keeps his history alive.* A VERY GOOD ex school-library copy with some age and wear especially to dust jacket which is now in a clear un-attached protective wrapper.*
