About This Item

Collins Crime Club, 1967. First edition, first printing. 8vo. Red textured boards with gilt titles. Red & white typographical dustwrapper. A fine copy with clean boards. No marks to textblock edges. Internally very clean indeed with no inscriptions - appears unread. The near fine/fine dustwrapper has very light wear only with one very short closed tear & small patch of laminate lift. Original price of 18snet on front flap. An attractive copy with absolutely none of the usual fading to wrapper spine - scarce thus. Wagstaff & Poole p.216. Gipsy's Acre is lovely rural spot with views to the sea where Michael Rogers plans to build his dream house; But it is an unfortunate place where accidents happen and Michael is warned off by the locals. However, Michael Rogers is about to learn about the true meaning of the old saying "In the end is my beginning"!
