Milwaukee: Bruce Publishing Company; (1949). Hardcover. Third printing of this reissue, very good+ in a very good+ dust jacket. Brown cloth with black lettering on the spine and black line drawing of a nun on the front board. Top edge of page block is a little spotted, and endpapers have very light spotting. The jacket has a little edgewear amd light spotting on the spine. Includes frontispiece portrait of author, some photographs of early Santa Fe, endnotes, bibliography, and an index; 298 pages. Contains information on Billy the Kid, Archbishop Lamy, and Santa Fe development in the last half of the 19th century. Tight and square, with no names or other writing in the book, and a $3.00 price on the front flap.
