New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1947.. 1947.. Good. - Octavo, cloth in a dust wrappper. The binding is bumped & there is a piece out of the head of the spine. A small piece of tape adheres to the bottom edge of the front cover & a small area of the top edge is rubbed where a similar piece has been removed. The dust jacket is soiled & chipped with a piece out of the head of its spine. Tears & small pieces out of the jacket have been partially repaired with tape internally & on both flaps. 278 pages. There is a small, light glue stain to the bottom edge of each front endpaper. Good in a fair dust wrapper. <p>First edition of the author's first book.
