About This Item
Los Angeles: The Philosophical Research Society, 1975. Folio. Signed twice by the author. Once on the limitation page and once on the dedication page. ccxlv, 245 pages, 48 pages of plates. This is the Golden Anniversary Edition which was first issued in a 1928. Elephant folio edition limited to 850 copies and measuring over 45 inches which survives mostly in libraries and in a few private collections (the Getty has virtually all his books and documents). The signed limited edition was limited to 2000 copies, this is signed by Manly Palmer Hall and is #1693. While smaller than the 1928 edition it still is 19" inches tall and 13" inches wide. This leaves room for reproducing some of the most remarkable images of any book devoted to occult and astrological mysteries. Bound in 1/4 brown cloth over decorative paper covered boards with matching endpapers, spine lettering and front label gilt. A very nice copy. Lightly rubbed on upper joint near head.
