H. S. Crocker Co. Collectible - Good. Condition: Good +; Hardcover, elephant folio. 19" x 13". King Solomon Edition. Published in a Limited Edition of 550 copies, this is copy #472. Signed by Manly P. Hall on the limitation page. Printed by the H. S. Crocker Co. from plans by John Henry Nash in 1928. Book is printed on Alexander-Japan paper with 54 full color illustrations by J. Augustus Knapp and 200 additional black and white illustrations. Binding has a vellum spine over Batik paper covered boards. The same Batik paper used for endpapers and on slipcase. Leather label on spine. Top edge gilt. The book is in Very Good- condition with a square spine and corners and a tight binding. Clean pages. The bottom of the covers and front fore-edges are rubbed with some loss of paper. Spine label has a 1"x1" chip. Covers show light general wear. There is a 4 line verse on the verso of first and last endpage admonishing the owner to handle the book carefully. Don't know if this is original or added. Rubbing and wear to the wooden slipcase.
