Well researched biography giving a balanced portrait of the Roman empress Livia Drusilla (59BC-29AD), second wife of Augustus and mother of Tiberius. 320pp with index, illustrated with 8 pages of black and white photographs. Gilt lettering to spine. Slight bumping to spine and lower corners and very minor sunning to top edges, otherwise near fine copy with no inscriptions. Unclipped DJ has slight edge and surface wear, otherwise very good. .
