New York: Atlantic Little Brown, 1962. First Edition . First USA Edition. A very good to near fine book, with sunning to the spine and board tips, in a near fine price clipped jacket, with some wear to the corners, but no chips or tears. A full page inscription by Yates on the front free endpaper, which reads in part- "For Paul Bartel: I can't imagine where you found a copy of this antique book, but its very pleasing to know you made the search. These were the stories i wanted most to keep, after many years of trial and error" Over 80 words in total in Yates hand, signed and dated in 1980. Yates first book of stories, and second book after Revolutionary Road.
