London, Paris, New York: Goupil & Co., 1903. Limited edition. Hardcover. Near fine. Beautiful limited edition, #15 of 250 on Japanese paper with series of plates from contemporary works of art. Full black leather boards, with red leather and embossed gold decoration on front and spine, raised bands, gold title on spine, top edges gilt. Red leather gilt-tooled doublure (verso of boards). Blue silk free endpapers. Two frontis portraits of Sophia, one sepia and the other full color. Tissue guard on the color portrait and on most other portraits in the book. Third blank page is loose. Marbled paper covered slipcase is sturdy but worn at edges. Binder Taffin. Very heavy. No priority or international shipping.
