Near Fine/Good +. *First Borzoi Edition stated* Book is in near fine condition, boards are stiff, and clean, gilt titles like new, binding is square and just a touch of softening at spine head, two corners have been slightly dented, otherwise would be fine, inside is unmarked and whistle-clean. The dust jacket is very good - ; there is some edge-wear at the head and tail of spine a few short tears along top edges, some rubbing along spine hinge and corner rubbing; price-intact ($5.00). 8 lithographs from the original edition. A very important and impressive book from the time of the Gold Rush in California.
