Sixth impression, originally published 1902. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and seventy-four colour plates. Collated complete. A detailed guide to the country of Egypt and options for tourists, with chapters on Cairo, bazaars, mosques and public buildings, the Nile, Goshen, the desert, religion, and social conditions. Written and illustrated by Robert George Talbot Kelly, an English orientalist landscape and genre painter, author and illustrator. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small handling mark. Age toning to the front endpaper with a contemporary ink inscription dated 1920. A 1" closed tear to the rear endpaper. Very Good
