Tall quarto. Pictorial pebbled cloth stamped in blind and gilt on the cover and spine, a.e.g., xxii, 388 pp., frontispiece, 16 full- page plates, and numerous text-figures. Text loose in the binding, tear to the front free endpaper, cloth worn through at the head, heel and extremities, one corner bumped. Text is clean and bright, still a good copy despite flaws. BMC.
