Kensington: The Aquila Press, 1929. Front cover onlay red leather coat-of-arms of Edwards the Second. Gilt rules with corner scrolled letters. Spine gilt. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. This edition was limited to 500 copies. NUMBERS 1-50 BEING HAND-COLOURED AND PRINTED ON MAILLOL HAND-MADE PAPER, THIS BEING COPY NUMBER 13.. Free edge of binding is slightly splayed, as is always seen in these vellum bindings. Type was hand-set in 14 pt. Caslon Old Face and printed by hand on hand-made paper. The shields were drawn by Alexina Ogiluie and emblazoned by A Alexander asnd Sons. Bound by James Burns and Company, Ltd. Exquisite typography, wide margins. A lovely reprinting of the 1594 London edition. See photos.. Limited Edition. Full Vellum. Almost No Wear/No Jacket. Quarto.
