New York: G.W. Carleton & Co., 1873. Hardcover. Good. Book is a little bumped at head and tail of spine as well as fore edge corners. A tiny bit of fraying to spine. Tiny bits of exposed board at the lower fore edge corners. Light wear along the spine edges and fore edges of the boards. A few small spots on the bottom edge of the text block and on the end papers. Original violet end papers. Has a stamp from G.H. Stowell Free Library on front paste down. No other signs of library ownership. Also has a label from Burnton's Bazar in NY on front paste down. Early printing, 1873 (book was originally copyright in 1872). 1872 copyright is owned by Daniel Holmes, husband to Mary. 423 pp.
