Philadelphia: David McKay Company, 1889. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Hardcover/ no DJ, VG condition; 286 pages, top edge of text block bright gilt. Appears to be First Edition, c. 1889 (same year on title page); 1st printing- no note of further ones. Mustard yellow cloth binding is tight, bright, square & clean w/ light rubbing. Traveler vignette & gold cover & spine lettering intact & totally legible, though parts show a bit of rubbing. No bumps, fray, scuffs or sun. Endpapers & text are tight, bright, clean & unmarked w/ just a hint of toning. NO hinge splits, owner names, notes, etc.: NOT ex library. Handsome, well preserved copy. ***Reliable, fast. (134)
