About This Item
N. Y.: The MacMillan Company, 1951. A very interesting copy of this edition.. This copy is inscribed and signed by illustrator on half title page and a notation in pencil, written by the illustrator, states that this copy was used as basis for illustrating a new edition. Therefore the illustrator had affixed pieces of drawing paper over the illustrations with paper tape. These have been removed but pieces of paper tape remain. There are notations in pencil on a few pages of text and some outline drawings in pencil all by the illustrator in anticipation of a new edition. The dust jacket has a couple of faint stains (small) and a short tear to back cover. Looks great in new Brodart protective cover.. Hardcover. Fair-good/Good. Illus. by Hedvig Collin.
