Published in conjuction with a traveling show that ran January 14 through April 21, 2002 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and then went on to Chicago and San Francisco for additional dates. Features an essay by Maria Morris Hambourg. Includes 54 tritones, 10 text illustrations and 4 gatefolds. A clean and tight very near fine copy with a small remainder mark to the bottom edge of the pages near the spine and some slight bumping to the top of the spine in a fine dust jacket with the same slight bumping to the top of the spine. Still largely in the publisher's shrinkwrap.
