This collection of the first published works of Jack Williamson offers a rare glimpse into the very beginning of American science fiction. 11 short stories beginning with "The Metal Man" (Author's 1st published story, published from 1928 - 1933 in various pulp). Jacket displays art of Gary Friedman, depiction of Thomas Kelvin's airplane, shortly to be transformed into "The Metal Man", in the radioactive grip of the towering cylinder of black metal at the mysterious source of the Rio De la Sangre.
