Charles Scrbner's Sons, 1913. Charles Scribner's Sons, 1913, First Edition, 8vo., 362 pages Book bound in a green cloth with gilt lettering on spine and front board, no dust jacket, top edge gilt. Letter enclosed on US Senate letterheaed from Author to the Hon. Beekman Winthrop. Winthrop was the Secretary of the Treasury from 1907-1909, Assistant Secretary of the Navy from 1909-1913, and Governor of PR from 1904-1907. Letter is dated April 2, 1914. Lodge tells Winthrop that he will gladly do anything to have the Marshal appointed by the President. Woodrow Wilson would have been President at that time. Letter is signed by Lodge. Book very good.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
