Contributions from most of the major figures of the day including the Leakey's, Don Johanson, Tobias, Clark Howell, C.K. Brain, Pilbeam, Ralph Holloway, Glynn Isaac and B.A.Wood. Remains a very useful reference work for the state of play at the end of the 1970s and the major issues of the time.
