Octavo. Cream dust jacket with faint blue image of archaic Chinese. Short tear at the top front flap hinge, small nick at top edge, back DJ flap starting to split from the body but still holding well, some general light age and shelf wear. Book covers are clean and unmarked. Interior paper is a little toned, old neat owner inscript on first free endpaper, otherwise clean and unmarked. A very nice copy of this groundbreaking work. "...contains in addition to a description of the grammar of Early Archaic Chinese, six Books of the Shu Ching fully transliterated and translated; and reproductions, transcriptions and translations of fourteen major Western Chou bronze inscriptions..." ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 288 pages .
