New York: The Junior Literary Guild / The Viking Press, 1939 238pp. Spine is slightly cocked. Tips and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Spine head is fraying. Inside boards have light foxing along the edges. Pages have light toning. Blue dye on top edge of text block has many washed out spots. Edges of text block have light dust staining. Text is unmarked. 1/4 of rear panel of jacket is missing, as well as the title portion of the spine panel. Tips of flap folds are missing. Corners of flaps are clipped. Spine panel is sunned. Front panel has a small light damp stain. Edges and flap folds are rubbed. Jacket has small tears at the lower edge of the front panel. May have other flaws. . First Edition. Hardcover.
