About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers, 1929. Novel of a successful businessman & his business, "The Answer to "Babbitt""; Kelland, now best remembered for his Mark Tidd and Catty Atkins juvenile series, was a prolific author from the 1910s through the '50s and something of a Republican gadfly in his later years. Early printing in the year of publication, publisher's E-D code indication May, 1929. No price on the jacket flaps, but we don't think this is a book club printing - old penciled price inside rear cover. Hardcover, full black cloth, gilt titling. Light wear to book; jacket shows a little scuffing & chipping, light tanning. Text clean; [6], 341 pages + colophon.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. Small Octavo.
