About This Item
This is a book about the Mathematical Theory of Multi-Stage Decision Making Process. In Other words; this book is the mathematical theory behind computer processing of data. This book was written in 1957, and before any of the user-friendly languages were designed. It was used at Oklahoma State University by an engineer who was working on his PhD Thesis. The project he was writing for his thesis happened to belong to an Oil company, and the information was classified before the Thesis could be submitted. The Engineer DID , however, receive the patent, and many years later, the Ralph Fessenden Award for the work. but NO PhD. The material is applicable to several different disciplines as follows: Mathematician: Chapters I,II,III,IV,IX,X. Economist: Chapters I,II,III,V,IX. Statistician: Chapters I,II,III,IX,X,XI. Engineer: Chapters I,II,III,IX. Operations Analyst: Chapters I,II,III,V,IX,X. We offer this historical textbook as a sacrifice for the education of the next generation. The book has been wet in a flood. it was on an upper shelf, and was dried immediately. It dried well, with some watermarks, but no mildew. Included are some notes from the classes at OSU. Our book number 34007.
