Overall mellow age toning the papers and to the dust jacket. Interior text block clean and tight; no writings, no markings noted. Contains 128 illustrations from drawings by Alice R. Huger Smith. Photographs, and architectural drawings by Albert Simons. 387 numbered pages. Dust jacket in likewise fine condition with, as stated above, mellow age toning; no price present on flaps or rear panel. * From the front flap, ""This is the biography of a great city, done in the grand stately manner of the city itself. . . . not a guide book though it leads us enthusiastically through the Charleston streets . . . the authors contend that more historical tradition has gathered about Charleston than any place in the country. . . .
