About This Item
Random House, 1969. Hardcover. Fine/Good. Memoir of the longtime head of the rare book department of the much-lamented Scribner Bookstore who subsequently became librarian of the J. K. Lilly Collection at Indiana University. (Most of his stories may be truthful, but Igor Kropotkin of Scbiner;s most definitely was not head of the Orthodox Church in America!) A clean tight copy, unmarked except for a bookplate on front pastedown. Dust jacket (price intact) has some curling and chipping along top and bottom. We ship all books promptly, carefully, and securely in sturdy cartons, never in mailing bags.
