Signed and inscribed by Niven Busch in black ink on the front free endpaper to producer Harry Ackerman: "3 Nov. 55 To Harry Ackerman: with sincere admiration. Niven Busch." Brought to the screen by David O. Selznick in 1946, as a vehicle for Jennifer Jones. Ackerman (1912-1991), born November 17, 1912, Albany, New York; died February 3, 1991, Burbank, California; American film executive, producer. Executive producer, Screen Gems Pictures Corp., 1958-1973; developed several TV shows: "Bachelor Father" "Leave It to Beaver" "Gunsmoke” "I Love Lucy" and "Bewitched.". Signed by Author(s). F.
