About This Item

Camp Hill, Pennsylvania: Book-of-the-Month Club, 1990. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. An unusual omnibus edition of three novels by the beloved science fiction novelist. Shart, squat hardcover format, two-tone blue and green cloth over boards. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn, protected by a plastic coat. The Dreaming Jewels, Sturgeon's first novel, features the story of Harty Bluett, an eerily bright nine-year-old who happens to eat ants and whose fingers, once severed, begin to grow back. The Cosmic Rage explores the paradox between our longings for paradise and for control over our destinies. The third novel, Venus Plus X, was Sturgeon's groundbreaking novel of sex and gender, greeted in 1960 with both admiration anger, says the publisher's blurb. 217 pp.; 160 pp.; 160 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
