Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1907. Hardcover. Very Good+. 4to. Unpaginated. Color frontis. illustration with title page tissue guard. With full-page color illustrations by Fisher. Decorations E. Stetson Crawford, including decorated endpapers. Brown cloth with paper illustration mounted on front cover, then stamped with gilt lettering, and gilt lettering on spine. Spine a trifle dulled, else a sturdy, solid copy. A lavish book production. The color illustrations by Harrison Fisher enhanced by lines from poets of record and those popular of the day, among them Burns, Byron, James Whitcomb Riley, Tennyson, Thackeray, Louise Imogene Guiney, Thomas Carew, George MacDonald, et al. A handsome representation from the waning Victorian era.
