Frontispiece in Volume I shows the author's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon. Wood-cut illustrations throughout, on title pages, chapter heads. Bindings have mellowed quite pleasantly, light edgewear, a warm patina. Encased in a custom box in red calf. Whittingham's edition..
