About This Item

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1923. Shaw Desmond (1877-1960) was an Irish novelist and dramatist who devoted most of his life to spiritualism and reincarnation, but here wrote an interesting history of 20th Century Irish nationalism and its personalities. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the First American Edition. Shaw Desmond (1877-1960) was an Irish novelist and dramatist who devoted most of his life to spiritualism and reincarnation. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of his history of the nationalist movement in the 20th Century. Green cloth binding with gilt lettering and a few shamrocks thrown in for good luck. The gutters are spliting, so the binding is a bit loose. Moderate wear, with some spotting to the boards and chipping to the spine. The text is clean; 494 pages. An interesting and uncommon book, worth some minor repair work. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Minus/No Jacket.
