Illustrated endpapers, showing the growth of the Dragon, the title page continues the growth of said Dragon and the text is illustrated (every second page full colour illustration) by Helen Oxenbury. Illustrated laminated boards (wraparound) with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Bumping to the backstrip edges and to the book corners, the underlying board is visible at the book corners. The front hinge has cracked and the underlying sewing is visible. Six pages from the rear of the text the lower left-hand corner has become somewhat torn. Colour illustrated dustwrapper (wraparound), same illustration as for underlying board with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the backstrip edges. In fact the top backstrip edge is missing the first 0.25 ". Rubbing it to the dustwrapper panels and dustwrapper edges. There is a 0.5 " tear to the top left-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel, a previous owner has supported the tear with tape, tape still in situ on the outside of the dustwrapper. Clipping to the dustwrapper, front court over, lower right-hand corner.
