About This Item
London: Andre Deutsch, 1958. Hardback reprint of book first published in 1951. No inscriptions. Some foxing to front and top edges and some bumping. DW is unclipped but worn and repaired in places. So probably a reading copy only. 142 pages. The book pokes fun at various European countries including those then behind the Iron Curtain. Inside the back covers someone has pasted a perceptive article from 1982 about Mikes and his humour. This notes his changing attitude to the Brits over some 40 years. .
