Minature Books, printed in England at The Chiswick Press, 44 pages, bound with blue paper on board, decorated with a loving couple in three colors: brown, pink and green, repeated theme illustrates the text all done by Alistair Grant, best known as a printmaker who was "at the top of his profession and a groundbreaker in his explorations of mixed media techniques." Alfred de Musset (1810-1857) was a "French Romantic poet and playwright, remembered for his poetry. Much influenced by Shakespeare and Schiller, Alfred de Musset wrote the first modern dramas in the French language. Musset had a profound grasp of the psychology of love and his portraits of women were multidimensional. Many of the titles for his works were taken from proverbs popular at the time." Three color text, soiled, rubbed edges, faded spine with a short tear on the head. ; Thin Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall .
