New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1895. Hardcover. Very Good. With forty-three full-page plates, one coloured plate, and numerous other illustrations. Second Edition, Revised and Enlarged. Canada's first professional physiologist, Wesley Mills (1847-1915) was a versatile and innovative biological scientist who also produced this and other important works of veterinary science in the late 19th century. Light brown cloth binding, with black, brown, and gilt stamping. The rear hinge is cracked. Some minor sunning along the spine; otherwise an uncommonly crisp, very good copy.
