Folio, 395x260 mm, contemporary paste-paper wrappers, quite worn and most likely original, with portions missing from spines and some chipping along cover edges, Volume 2 front cover detached with title adhered, other front covers partly detached; scattered foxing; uncut. Vác Piarist ownership inscription dated 1805 on titles, later Hungarian stamp on versos. NOTES; The first 2 volumes reprint Petau's 1627 treatise on chronology De doctrina temporum, the third his 1630 Uranologion. Houzeau & Lancaster 12840. Uranologion brings together works by famous ancient astronomers such as Hipparchus, c. 190 BC c. 120 BC, Geminus, 1st century BC, and Ptolemy 90 168 AD. Latin language text.
