Wurzburg: J C Kleyer. Good with no dust jacket. 1742. Leather. 444+index pages; Width: 7" Height: 8.25". Latin volume is bound is full speckled sheep leather with gilt lettering on the spine. This volume contains 117 engraved emblematic plates throughout, including an engraved frontispiece, illustrated by Johann Wilhelm Stor. Front cover is separated and the spine is frayed and cracked. The top panel and half the title label are missing. The pages show light age toning and occasional moisture markings, primarily on the endpapers. The front endpaper has previous owner inscription of F. Augustini a L Phillipe dated 1776 and an armorial bookplate of Schorsch. Title printed in red and black, engraved frontispiece, 117 engraved emblematic plates . [Landwehr, 453], small 4to, Würzburg, J. C. Kleyer, 1742 .
