Speaking with the thick verbiage and accent of an Irish immigrant from County Roscommon, the fictional Mr. Dooley expounded upon political and social issues of the day from his South Side Chicago Irish pub." [from Wikipedia] Spine has title in gilt with a blind stamped shamrock design. The cover panel has the title and a three owl design in gilt surrounded by a blind stamped shamrock border design. An ex-library copy with minimal exterior markings, still a very bright copy lacking a dustjacket.
