The long inscription fills the whole front free endpaper and is signed "from an admirer / J. Schweppes Conroy". Laid in is an 8 page excerpt from Conroy's upcoming autobiography. The first page of this excerpt also has an inscription to Herman Kogan dated 1979 and signed "Sempre! Jack". Covers heavily soiled, page edges darkened, spine ends frayed. Some penciled underlining and marginal notes. . Fair. Soft cover. First Edition. 1933.
