A complete two volume set, being the first UK Edition. Discovery of Lakes Rudolf and Stefanie is a narrative of Count Samuel Teleki's exploring and hunting expedition in Eastern Equatorial Africa in 1887 and 1888 written by his companion Lieut. Ludwig Von Hohnel. These works have been translated by Nancy Bell. Count Samuel Teleki was a Hungarian explorer who led the first expedition to Northern Kenya and the first European to see Lake Turkana. With in-text illustrations a folding map to the rear of volume one, missing the folding map to volume two. With a frontispiece to both volumes and twenty one full page plates to volume one and thirteen to volume two.Collated. Rebound with the original cloth boards restored. Externally, smart with some marks to the boards and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound with bright pages with some scattered spots throughout. Very Good
