Light wear and soiling to cloth, spine toned with rubbing to ends; hinges cracked, half-title repaired with cloth tape, minor chipping to margins of map, no loss; very good. -- Moresby commanded the H.M.S. Basilisk on a voyage Australia in 1871 and was later engaged in surveying work along the north and south-east coasts of New Guinea. The harbor of Port Moresby, is named for him. Ex-libris with sticker on foot of spine, bookplate and ink stamps on front endpapers and title page.
