Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is sound. Gift inscription in ink on front fly leaf and bookplate on front paste down of all 3 vols. All three volumes: Full gilt-stamped leather over boards, 5 raised bands; Volume I: (x), 480 pages, notes in pencil on blank page at end of book; Volume II: (vii), 505 pages; Volume III: 338 pages. All volumes: cover rubbed and worn, especially on edges and corners, gilt-stamping faded/chipped text block toned, toning on some pages, foxing/light spots throughout, a few pages have chips at edges, a few pencil marks, Volume I has sticker with handwritten number at head of spine, no other "library" markings, overall good condition and still highly readable!
