About This Item

Hagerstown, MD: Hagerstown Bookbinding and Printing Co, 1911. Very Good. Wraps, 35 pp, very good, minor wear and soil, some foxing to title page and to last blank. A fairy story set in the mountains and in the "hollow" about Brother Frog and his friends (other frogs mainly), who gets trapped in a cage by a little boy. Very rare, no copies located in any institution according to Worldcat. The author, Genevieve Walsh (1866-1915) was a lifelong resident of Harpers Ferry, WV and authored at least one other children's book, equally scarce, entitled "Isabella and May, a Fairy Story." We could find nothing further about her.
