In the publisher's full cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. A mysterious crime novel following the story of Bagby's beloved protagonist, Inspector Schmidt, after he is mugged in the streets of New York. Upon looking into the case, Schmidt and his accomplice, Bagby, discover much more than they expected. Aaron Marc Stein, who wrote under the pseudonym, 'George Bagby', was an American crime novelist, specialising in police investigations. Many of his works follow the adventures of his character, 'Inspector Schmidt'. Other works by Bagby include, 'Murder at the Piano', and 'Dead Storage'. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear. Just the odd spot to the paste-downs. Some offsetting to the free endpapers. The original unclipped dust wrapper is in very smart condition. Some shelf wear and chipping to the spine. Some light marks to the rear panel and spine. Small closed tear to the bottom of the front panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean with just the odd spot. A few scattered spots to the fore-edge. Near Fine
