Hardcover, gray boards in publisher's non price-clipped dust-jacket. 185 pages. Signed and inscribed by author to "Bob and Lilly" and dated Sept. 1, 1968 on front free end-paper. First American edition, first printing. Comic novel set during World War II on the Dingle Peninsula along the Kerry coast. Book is clean, sound, tight and unmarked. Dust-jacket shows moderate wear with small tape repair on verso at heal of spine and mild evidence of moisture to lower edge of rear panel. Near very good in a good dust-jacket, with very scarce signature. .
