Leipzig, Seemann, 1923. Hardcover. .. Crown quarto. Pp. 16, (xiii). Illustrated tinted title-page. Plus hand-coloured frontispiece and 30 other hand-coloured plates (31 in total). Set in Gothic type. HARDCOVER, bound in the original illustrated boards, top bit faded, a scratch on back cover. In a very good condition, fine interior. ~ First published in 1853, this beautiful later edition brings all the plates in one section with explanatory notes at the end. Issued uncoloured, this particular copy has been beautifully hand-coloured by later hand in accordance with the 1853 edition, and bears witness to the craftsmanship of old times.
