Leipzig: Voigt and Gunther, 1861. Bound in 1/8 brown leather and black boards. The binding shows quite a bit of rubbing and the front hinge is starting. xiv, 181, [1] p. diagrs. on IV pl. 26 cm. The book has instances of marginalia and a three digit ink number on the title page. Still, an acceptable copy of the first edition of this scarce book. "The history of the refraction by the discovery up against the end of the eighteenth century by Cleomedes to Oriani.-II. The work on refraction by Kramp until now". Text in German. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
