About This Item
London: Crosby Lockwood and son, 1895. Second edition, complete in one hardback volume. 8vo (26cm by 17cm), viii, 1259pp. Bound in half black morocco. This is a defective copy - the binding is rubbed, the front inner hinge is cracked, and the text pages are brittle (with the result that several pages are chipped with loss, including occasional loss to the text), and there are scattered tape repairs. Not a great copy, but a rare edition.
