About This Item
London: Arrowsmith, 1891. First edition, first printing. Published by Arrowsmith in London, 1891. This is a very good copy. Issued without a dust wrapper, the mustard-yellow clothbound boards are markedly toned and the black tooling clean. The spine is slightly sunned and the gilt to the spine is also faded. The front and rear hinges are cracked. The preliminaries have some major toning. This copy is free from previous owners ink. The text blocks are lightly toned and free from foxing. It carries the 'Three Men in a Boat' advertisement to the front pastedown. Overall, this is a very good copy. It tells of a trip undertaken by Jerome and his friend "B" to see the Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany.
